AHHHH, THE BEAUTIFUL SEASON OF FALL!
It is indeed one of the very best times to decorate your home to bring in the warmth and beauty of the season.
In recent weeks, we have had a great time working with Charles & Juli Orr of Longview, TX. Their home is a beautiful and stately colonial home surrounded by a lovely treed and beautifully landscaped setting. Our job was to help create a few new looks throughout the house, hanging pictures and creating areas in each room that highlight some of the family's special treasures--all of which are precious vignettes that feature family memories and keepsakes. The Orrs have been blessed with a beautiful family and their home blends beauty and grace with the comforts and joys of family.
In the OCTOBER edition of our newsletter, COZY CONVERSATION, we feature one room of the Orr's home we especially enjoyed designing. Situated in an area above the home's garage, this fun room is the perfect getaway for everyone in the family. It is both gathering place and TV/game room--truly a place to relax and unwind. The highlights of the room are the two large walls, both which have been designed with things that are important to the family. One wall is an eclectic mix of white and cream plates and special collections of family photos, keepsakes and memorabilia. The other wall that is sure to catch the eye of everyone who enters the room is what has been affectionately named "The Clock Wall." It is a collage of clocks, each one carefully chosen by Juli for the family's five daughters. The girls' names, as well as their birth dates, have each been placed on the wall, highlighted by a clock set to the time each daughter was born. Juli's vision for this wall display resulted in a beautiful and unique display that has special meaning for the family. Here are a few extra peaks into the designing of this great room...

THE FINAL TOUCH-- A GIGANTIC CLOCK AS THE CENTERPIECE OF THE DESIGN...   Next, we tackled the layout of "The Clock Wall" Here are the clocks, handpicked by Juli for her girls...  The finished product We LOVE it!!     One of the joys of decorating is designing spaces throughout your home that reflect the personality and joys of family. These spaces are what makes a house turn into a home; a place of retreat, a gathering place for laughter, good times and sweet memories. Be sure to include these special spaces throughout your home.
